The CLIMB is proud to have the support of talented trainers who inspire and care for our Climbers.

Joy Gordon is a physical therapist at the Indianapolis VA Medical Center. Joy has been practicing for over four years. Three of those years have been focused on the treatment of patients with movement disorders. Joy has instructed at "The Climb" since its initiation in January of 2011. Her educational background includes a Bachelors degree from Taylor University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Indianapolis. Joy also has LSVT BIG (treatment program for people with Parkinson's disease) and Tai Chi for Health certifications. More recently, Joy has completed the Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR! gym) clinician course. Joy has a great heart for people with Parkinson's disease and continues to study ways to help treat and encourage this population.

Deb Knapp has been in the health and wellness industry as a mentor, teacher, coach and personal trainer for almost 40 years. She was head trainer at Bally Total Fitness for over 20 years and created the training program for their personal trainers. She holds multiple certifications as a personal trainer and is certified by Egoscue University as a Posture, Alignment and Pain Management Specialist. Deb has written articles on health, wellness and nutrition for various publications. She co-authored: Power Over Pain: Intelligent Fitness for the Amateur and Professional, published in the fall of 2014. She has been the keynote speaker and a presenter at various coaches conferences in Indiana and Illinois. Deb has an extensive background in working with a variety of neurological and neuromuscular disorders. She brings a "no fail" attitude and ability to work toward improving quality of life as a whole person. Deb's unique and creative abilities, talents and training methods are a perfect fit for people with Parkinson's Disease. She is the Clinical Education Supervisor for the Indiana Parkinson Foundation.

Kim Williams is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist, Parkinson Wellness Recovery certified and FAI certified. Kim started training at The Climb six years ago and is now Program Director. Kim has a Bachelors degree from Indiana University in Psychology and has been married for almost twenty years. She and her husband have two daughters Sydney and Morgan. She stays very busy between training at The CLIMB Noblesville and making sure all The CLIMB license locations are running smoothly. Kim loves working with people and helping them with their health and fitness goals. Kim has found her true passion in helping those with Parkinson's Disease.

Andy Durnell is a National Academy of Sports Medicine-Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutritional Specialist. He started volunteering at The Climb in 2011. He is proud to be part of an organization that brings hope, faith, wellness and love to people with Parkinson's. He feels that establishing relationships is of the upmost importance when influencing someone to push beyond their comfort zone in order to grow. He is General Manager/Co-Head Trainer for the Indiana Parkinson Foundation.

Carol Tharp-Perrin teaches Ashtanga yoga in Indianapolis. She teaches 1st and 2nd series, Mysore and mixed level classes. She also has extensive experience teaching yoga to children, to adolescents in prisons, to competitive figure skaters and to adults with Parkinson. Carol came to Yoga through the arts. Her knowledge of the mind-body-spirit relationship has evolved through her work in interdisciplinary arts, painting, gymnastics, and figure skating, as an equestrian and as a dancer. Dance ultimately led to Yoga, which has become integral to her life's work. As an artist with Young Audiences and Very Special Arts, Carol's work with arts-in-education spans more than 30 years. She has been a visiting and consulting artist to universities, schools, communities, hospitals and other institutions, including city, state and national governments throughout North and South America. In addition to English, she is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Carol holds a Master's degree in curriculum. She is a 500 level Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance.
